Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level extension is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained working.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer key from the present domain provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no specific regulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
